Questions

Do I need premium to use the site?

No. Fur prices, all 50 states of regulations, the gear comparison, and the community forum are free forever. Premium unlocks the full logbook — unlimited traplines and sets, analytics, revenue tracking, CSV export, weather auto-fill, photo uploads, and price alerts.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from account settings — your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period, then reverts to free (your data stays, we just cap it back to 1 trapline / 5 sets).

Is there a free trial?

No trial, but the free plan is a full-featured starting point. If you find you need more than 1 trapline or the analytics features, upgrade when that moment hits. Month-to-month is just $8 — easy to try.

How does the annual plan work?

Billed once a year at $72 instead of monthly. That's $24 less than the monthly plan annualized — three months effectively free.

Is UnitedTrappers run by trappers?

Yes. The site is built and operated by a trapper — not a generic startup. Feature priorities come from what's actually useful on the line, not marketing decks.

Where does the data come from?

Fur prices come from published auction reports (NAFA, Fur Harvesters Auction, regional North American sales) and our nightly scraper. Regulations come directly from state wildlife agency websites and digests — every entry links to its official source. Gear prices come from nightly scraping of the major retailers.
